Twin success for Al Fateh and Al Ittihad’s Nuno Santo celebrates again in April’s Monthly Awards, presented by Roshn Real Estate

A strong spell from fifth-placed Al Fateh was reflected by twin success in April’s Monthly Awards, presented by Roshn Real Estate.
The Saudi Professional League’s technical team selected Moroccan forward Mourad Batna as Best Player and Firas Al Buraikan as Best Promising Player. Leaders Al Ittihad, meanwhile, saw Nuno Santo rewarded with his second-successive Best Coach prize and emerging Al Nassr goalkeeper Nawaf Al Aqidi chosen as Best Promising Player.
Unstoppable attacker Batna netted three times and provided two assists when unbeaten Al Fateh claimed seven points from an available nine. In the same period, Saudi Arabia international Al Buraikan scored twice and assisted one more.
Santo secured Ittihad’s hold on top spot when he orchestrated a perfect three wins from three fixtures. Shot stopper Al Aqidi kept a clean sheet in Al Nassr’s matchweek 22, 23 and 24 outings.
This is the fifth-consecutive season that Saudi Pro League has undertaken Monthly Awards for Best Promising Player, Goalkeeper, Coach and Player. The technical team includes: Turki Al-Sultan, Sultan Al-Lihyani, Khaled Al-Shaneef, Manaf Abu Shqair and Obaidullah Al-Issa.
Their selections are based on a number of technical and statistical criteria, as provided by Opta – the league’s statistical partner.
