Al Nassr superstar Ronaldo headlines February’s Monthly Awards, presented by Roshn Real Estate

Al Nassr superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s epic performances saw him lead the way in February’s Monthly Awards, presented by Roshn Real Estate.
The Saudi Professional League’s technical team selected the 38-year-old to be ‘Best Player’ after he recorded a phenomenal eight goals and two assists in four games, from matchweek 15-18. This included a last-gasp equalising penalty at Al Fateh, ‘super hat-trick’ versus Al Wehda, brace of assists against Al Taawoun and first-half hat-trick at Damac.
Al Shabab’s Vicente Moreno, meanwhile, was named ‘Best Coach’ for the third time in 2022/23. The Spaniard’s third-placed troops won all three of their Roshn Saudi League games this February, plus their rescheduled matchweek 18 fixture.
A remarkable February witnessed Al Ittihad’s Marcelo Grohe claim the ‘Best Goalkeeper’ prize after four-successive clean sheets. Abha midfielder Nawaf Al Sadi was named ‘Best Promising Player’ for the second time, from a month in which he netted at Al Raed and assisted versus Al Khaleej.
This is the fifth-consecutive season that Saudi Pro League has undertaken Monthly Awards for Best Promising Player, Goalkeeper, Coach and Player. The technical team includes: Turki Al-Sultan, Sultan Al-Lihyani, Khaled Al-Shaneef, Manaf Abu Shqair and Obaidullah Al-Issa.
Their selections are based on a number of technical and statistical criteria, as provided by Opta – the league’s statistical partner.
